Subbed. That had me grinning from ear to ear. I vow to adopt any ideology you want me to, just so I can virtue signal to you how cool I am 😂

I like this read as well. As soon as I saw Master Yoda I had to see what’s up. I have often wondered if I will ever have an original thought. I have read many books that I 🙏🏼 helped me grow. I am usually very aware when I am repeating something I got from one of them. I usually give credit where it’s due

I believe you may be talking political tribes here? What a mess that has been for a while. I declare myself an “Independent” but grew up in the Deep South where it’s mostly red. Our parents I would assume are our first influences. My Father is a CPA that loves Capitalism but will not officially join the Republican Party. He has often said to me while growing up under his roof, “Son they screw spending up too.”

It sounds like you already have a strong awareness of influencing forces. To take it a step further, influencing forces without a strong sense of self leads to tribalism which causes the ego to become entrapped in a cycle of fear and comparison. This is why they say the truth will set you free. Original thought is the reward you get for transcending the ego.

I found this video of Eckart Tolle helpful if you want to explore the philosophy of original thinking some more.

I most definitely am thankful I had a college education and read much on my own BEFORE social media. I would probably really be in a mess if I had it in high school 😳
